Nollan installs straight from your browser – no App Store, no Google Play, no account. Under a megabyte, works offline, updates itself.
Takes a couple of seconds. Nothing is downloaded to your system – the browser saves the app itself.
The preview above is live – name day, week number, sun times and payday countdown are today's real values.
The button above works in most browsers. If your browser does not offer the install dialog, here are the manual steps – it takes three taps.
Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet, Opera
Safari (required, Chrome on iOS cannot install)

Firefox, older browsers
Nollan is a progressive web app. That is a normal website which the browser is allowed to install like a native app: it gets an icon on your home screen, opens full screen without the address bar, and keeps working when you are offline. The technology is built into Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and Linux – no store is involved at any point.
Skipping the stores is a deliberate choice, and it is better for you as well as for me. You avoid creating an account, granting a list of permissions and waiting for downloads. I avoid the 30 percent cut, the review queues and the arbitrary rules – which means a fix I write in the morning is live for you in the afternoon, instead of a week later.
The trade-off is honest to state: because there is no store listing, nobody finds Nollan by searching an app store. It spreads by people sharing the link. If you like it, that is the single most useful thing you can do – send nollan.se to someone.
Yes. The whole dashboard – clock, weather, name day, sunrise, payday countdown and the Companion – is free and always will be. Premium is optional and unlocks extras such as unlimited cities, electricity prices, pollen levels, themes and a customisable dashboard.
Because it does not need to be. Nollan is a progressive web app, which means the browser itself installs it. You skip the stores, the 30 percent cut, the review queues and the account requirement – and I can ship an update the same day I write it. You get exactly the same app.
Nothing is downloaded to your system in the traditional sense. The browser saves the site and runs it in the same sandbox as any other web page, so it cannot reach your files, your contacts or anything else. Installing is closer to a very good bookmark than to installing a program.
Under a megabyte. For comparison, a typical app from an app store is 50 to 200 MB.
Yes. The clock, the date, the name day, the Companion and the last loaded weather all work without a connection. Fresh weather naturally needs the internet.
Yes, automatically. There is no update button and no version to keep track of – the app fetches the latest version the next time you open it while online.
Exactly like any other app: long-press the icon and choose remove (phone), or Settings → Apps (computer). Nothing is left behind.
No. Nollan has no login and no user accounts. Your cities, your payday and your Companion are stored on your device, not on a server.
